The Solution with Make
Through Make, we have created a customized workflow for Montserrat. The workflow has been defined in the following steps:
- Retrieve orders: the first step has been to establish a connection with WooCommerce to retrieve complete orders. We have applied filters to ensure that only orders and all their necessary data are retrieved, avoiding duplicates.
- Before passing them to the ERP, it was necessary to use various modules to process the orders, thus facilitating data manipulation.
- Create or update contacts: through Quipu, we have automated the creation and updating of contacts. If the contact already exists, it is updated in the ERP; otherwise, a new contact is automatically created. This part of the flow has been managed using filters in Make, which allow applying conditions (create or update) depending on the contact’s situation.
- Invoice generation: once the contact is created or updated, the invoice for the order is generated through Quipu. This allows the client to automate the invoicing task, improving speed and reducing human errors.
- WooCommerce update: once the invoice is generated in Quipu, the flow returns to WooCommerce to update the order status by reporting the invoice number generated in Quipu, thus completing the process fully and automatically.
